MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES AND DUES
The Healthcare Executives’ Club provides membership opportunities that reflect the type of involvement and participation of the individual members, as well as the voluntary contributions, they can make in their professional association.

Active Member
Active members are full or part-time employed/self-employed persons who attend meetings, programs, and activities of the HEC regularly. They have voting rights, can hold office and chair committees, and are required to pay dues in addition to meeting and special event fees.
Annual Dues: $100 (For New Members: July 1 through January 31- Full Dues; February 1 through June 30 - Half Dues)

Associate Member
Associate members are full or part-time employed/self-employed persons who are unable to attend regular meetings for geographic reasons. They pay dues equal to 50% of the dues of Active Members, have no voting rights, do not hold office or chair committees, and are required to pay meeting and special event fees.

Life Member
Life membership can, upon written request to the Executive Committee, be granted to any member in good standing (dues paid) with at least ten (10) years of membership; currently retired from active employment; and whose chronological age plus years of membership in the HEC equals at least seventy-five (75).
A Life Member elects one of two sub-categories of membership:

Life Member Emeritus
The “Life Member Emeritus” sub-category recognizes the many years of contribution and service to the professional association and in the career of the longtime member. A Life Emeritus Member is not required to pay dues, does pay meeting and special events fees, and cannot vote, hold office, or chair committees.

Life Member Active
The “Life Member Active” sub-category also recognizes the many years of contribution and service to the professional association and in the career of the long-time member, but in addition, provides for continued participation in the activities of the HEC for a member who is employed or self-employed. A Life Active Member is required to pay dues, meeting, and special event fees; and can vote, hold office, and chair committees.

Student Affiliate
Student affiliates are persons enrolled in a formal program leading to a graduate degree in healthcare management. They can attend meetings, programs, and activities of the HEC, are not required to pay annual dues or fees for meetings, and cannot vote, hold office, or chair committees.
Student Affiliates can apply to become Active Members of the Healthcare Executives’ Club upon graduation from the formal graduate program and be entitled to the full benefits of Active Members with the provision to pay half dues for a one-year period.

Honorary Member
Honorary membership can be granted by the Executive Committee to any person or persons who have distinguished themselves by exceptionally meritorious service in the hospital and health-related disciplines. They are not required to pay dues, meeting or special event fees, and cannot vote, hold office, or chair committees.

Sponsor Member
Sponsors are members who do not meet the qualifications in the membership categories and desire to support the educational and other programs of the professional association through an annual financial contribution. They shall pay an annual sponsorship fee determined by the Executive Committee, may attend regularly scheduled meetings, are not required to pay meeting and special event fees, and cannot vote, hold office, or chair committees.
